ZF ASTronic

New technology has opened the door to new design options for the entire driveline. The ZF-AS Tronic is an ultramodern, fully integrated transmission with automatic shift capability. The concept sets the standard for reliability, cost-effectiveness and environmental compatibility. Well-proven ZF transmission technology, successfully mated to modern electronics, makes the advanced ZF-AS Tronic system a seriously cost-effective proposition. Drivers may select between automatic and manual driving modes. In either mode, drivers don't have to operate a clutch and can concentrate fully on driving the coach safely. Being that the ZF AS-Tronic is a manual transmission, routine maintenance is much reduced while returning significant fuel economy increases compared to current automatic technology in coaches.

ZF Eccomat 2

The ZF-Ecomat 2 is so smooth and quiet, you won't notice or hear anything, in fact you may not even notice it's there. The ZF-Ecomat 2 transmission is able to communicate with the whole driveline as well as the engine control unit. Depending on road conditions, the electronic control unit can manage the entire driveline and control the gearshifts, converter and retarder system. As a result, the ZF-Ecomat 2 guarantees high comfort levels while optimizing economy. Certainly, low fuel consumption, excellent reliability and increased service brake life all translate into reduced life cycle costs with Ecomat 2.
